Copshop (2021)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Copshop (2021)

Post by Leisher »

This is a "Ocean's Eleven"-lite style dramedy. Not that there's a heist, but the focus upon style and character over substance.

Frank Grillo is on the run and decides the best place to hide is in jail, so he gets arrested on purpose. However, hitman Gerard Butler sees this and follows him. Alexis Louder is the "far tougher than reality and carrying an illegal weapon" cop that stands between them and other elements.

Special shoutout to Toby Huss who absolutely steals the show once he makes his appearance.

The style elements are heavily played up. At times they really add to the film, at others they ruin it. For example, the final scene of the film is simply dumb. Don't worry, the story is finished before this scene and it's more about setting up a potential sequel.

It's a fun movie, but there are a lot of liberties taken, particularly when it comes to gun fights. You'll all enjoy it.
“Every record been destroyed or falsified, books rewritten, pictures repainted, statues, street building renamed, every date altered. The process is continuing day by day. History stops. Nothing exists except endless present in which the Party is right.”
