David Keith (not that one
) and Heather Locklear volunteer for an experiment as they need money. They are unaware, but the experiment is run by "The Shop" (the CIA) and they're talked about like everyone deals with them on a daily basis. The familiarity people seem to have with the CIA in this film is ridiculous. Anyway, they seem to be the only success stories from this experiment as they suffer no side effects and fall in love. (Sidenote: Heather Locklear might be lowkey one of the hottest women in history. Has she ever not looked amazing?) Soon they have a baby, Drew Barrymore, and she has pyrokinesis. The Shop takes note. Martin Sheen, the leader of this particular division, wants to weaponize her. George C. Scott wants to either fuck her or kill her and absorb her power. Hilarity ensues.Seriously, George C. Scott's character is fucking creepy and had serious pedo vibes.
The acting is shockingly bad as are the production values, but it was made in 1984, so...
Still, there is a decent film in here. Unfortunately, this film is just too dated to appreciate. (Except Heather Locklear, you can absolutely appreciate her.)
