Watched this one on the plane.
I think this is on HBO Max, according to the front matter.
Seth Rogan plays an eastern european American immigrant who falls into a vat of pickle brine in 1920, and is discovered in 2020 still alive and perfectly preserved. He then meets his great grandson, also played by SR. And the Great Grandson is a huge prick, nearly evil. Hard to enjoy his redemption, he's such a prick.
So.
Yeah.

An American Pickle
Love his work, but he genuinely seems like a massive piece of shit in real life.
“Every record been destroyed or falsified, books rewritten, pictures repainted, statues, street building renamed, every date altered. The process is continuing day by day. History stops. Nothing exists except endless present in which the Party is right.”
An American Pickle
I think the intention of that character was "well intentioned, but hurt and misguided.". But he came off as a fucking prick, so.
