Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

1. Jurassic Park: Incompetent old rich white male runs everything and has hubris but means well.
Incompetence, and a little corporate greed get people killed. T-Rex steps in last second to save the last few survivors.

2. Jurassic Park 2: The one with Ian Malcolm, heavy corporate greed (directed by evil white men) overpowers scientists and people get killed. T-Rex appears last minute to save the day.

3. Jurassic Park 3: The one with Dr. Grant. A couple white people get everyone in deep shit. Everyone who touches a gun gets killed.

4. Jurassic Park 4: Jurassic World: Corporate greed and hubris get a bunch of people killed. T-Rex shows up last minute and saves the day.

5. Jurassic Park 5: Massive corporate greed and corruption, directed by an evil white guy, fuck it all up and now dinosaurs are free.

And now this movie:

6. Jurassic World: Dominion

Cartoonishly evil, old, rich, white guy goes full supervillain and mimics Monsanto in an effort to fuck over the world. The whole crowd from previous movies share screen time, and that's briefly fun, in a very small way. T-Rex shows up at the end and saves the day.

They had a chance with the last movie to do something different, but failed. The dinosaurs running free is acknowledged, but barely touched on. It's a long movie and it took me 3 sittings to get through it.

Note that the Rich Owner Guy in this one is also an Aryan, but he makes up for it by dying.

Remembered a fun fact about JP3 and added, "Everyone who touches a gun gets killed."

AND ANOTHER THING.... one scene has raptors in two different chases chasing humans through a city. There were about 10 shots of raptors trying to take a tight turn at speed, and slamming into a wall. You could almost make it a drinking game. Raptors can't corner for shit.

Anyway yeah nothing new in this movie.

Agreed. This felt like the filmmakers came into it thinking, "This well is dry, so let's say goodbye."

Every cliche you can think of is represented. The nostalgia of all the casts being together added a bit, but as Gordon pointed out, not enough.

Firmly in the "Saw it, didn't hate it, but would never watch it again" category.
