Rust Creek (2018)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Rust Creek (2018)

Post by Leisher »

Currently on Netflix

A college aged girl is driving across the country to a new job when her GPS takes her through a remote area. Two backwoods scumbags happen upon her and she's now trying to survive in unfamiliar country. Hard to get more in depth without spoilers, but I will say that the story isn't that black and white.

Julie Lipson and Jay Paulson shine in their roles, but outside of that, the movie is slow and uneventful. There's very few tense scenes, and a lot less "cat and mouse" than what is hinted at in the summary and trailer.

It really hits a snag during the final scene when the main character has information that she apparently forgets.

It was ok, but ultimately nothing you need to see.
“Every record been destroyed or falsified, books rewritten, pictures repainted, statues, street building renamed, every date altered. The process is continuing day by day. History stops. Nothing exists except endless present in which the Party is right.”
