Comedy series, currently on Netflix.
I've heard people talking about this for years, but never got around to it. I understand their last season won all kinds of emmys or something, so I decided to give it a watch.
Just finished season 2.
It's about a rich family that ends up destitute. Eugene Levy and his son wrote and star in it, and it's pretty funny how much alike they look, and how differently they act. I wonder if his son is actual bisexual in real life, because he plays it thick, here.
What makes this show stand out to me is that these fish-out-of-water, formerly STUPIDLY rich rich people actually, in spite of their downfall, actually seem to like and care about each other. There's a certain level of snark in their interactions with each other, but you never get the impression there's any animosity behind their words. They roll with the punches and thrive, as a family.
The show has a good heart.
I'll be watching this one to completion.

It's cute. We're near the end of season 4. It gets a little repetitive, but it's got heart and is entertaining.
It's not me, it's someone else.

From what I understand he's at least gay. I saw a quick snippet of a video clip where he talked about coming out to his dad.
He's also my favorite character on the show. He seems like he's playing himself, and he seems like someone you'd want to hangout with. I love the chemistry he has with Stevie and Alexis. Those two are also favorites. Stevie is definitely "us" watching this family exist up close. Alexis is so perfectly cast and really pulls off the "likeable Paris Hilton".
The wife and I just started watching it a few months ago and fit in episodes when we have time. We're in Season 3.
My wife does hate Chris Elliot though.

I laughed a lot at this conversation:
Her - "Why is he wearing that weird body suit?"
Me - "What body suit?"
Her - "That cannot be his actual stomach!"

That's the joke.
She picked up on it the other night because it's gone in season 3. I think it was the Christmas World episode.
