Revolt

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Revolt

Post by Leisher »

An American soldier gets into a fire fight and wakes up in Narobi. He befriends some chick and they travel the countryside that is overrun by bandits and killer robots.

It's not great.

So the robots have one shot kill guns. They immediately disintegrate whatever they hit. They're nothing more than balls of energy. So how exactly is there collateral damage? People get wounded like shrapnel hit them or something. It makes zero sense.

The main story line, and the revelation that comes is pretty stupid. You'll think something far larger is going on with the main guy because that's exactly what is implied. Nope. It's really stupid and would be any logical person's first instinct.

There's a stampede late in the movie that was ridiculously pointless. It served no military purpose at all, and would seem to prove the entire plot is dumb because they could just do that everywhere. Picture sending the entire 7th fleet, 3 different wings of the air force, every team of navy SEALS, and the U.S.S. Enterprise to attack a rowboat. You think I'm exaggerating, but that's in line with exactly what takes place in this stampede scene. It's easily one of the dumbest things in movie history.

Skip it.

SPOILERS TO EXPLAIN THAT STAMPEDE IF YOU"RE CURIOUS>>>

So the aliens send, literally, hundreds of these robots that are quite large and take a lot to destroy, in a stampede after the main character and the woman he's traveling with. Not because he's wasting them all. Nope. Just because the writers needed a scene. Oh, they also bring in a mothership. Did I mention the heroes are unarmed? It's worse that later in the film the guy is with hundreds of humans and the aliens send the fewest robots possible. The writers are morons.
