Kingpin to appear?

This makes complete sense and would FINALLY really tie together some of their non-movie properties.

There's no reason at all why Spidey wouldn't interact with The Punisher, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist.

Black girl cast as Mary Jane Watson, who is famous for her red hair in the comics.

I'm 100% SURE they're out there, but the feeds I'm seeing are filled with outrage over outrage I'm not seeing... It's like the folks who can't wait to pound their soapbox are now beating the actual racists to the punch.

Oh, and by the way, "purists" who want movies to remain faithful to the source material are simply lumped into the racist category because, you know, it's got to be right?!? Who would care about something with 50+ years of history being accurate? It's FAR, FAR more important that 12% of the population is over represented in movies, while minorities with larger populations, but quieter leaders go under represented.

Oh, and here's two quotes in the very first FB page that shows up in the feed:
Celeste Williams Enjoying seeing all the folks getting mad about this but they can't comment on my shit
Because her page is locked. Nothing pleases a social justice warrior more than people who disagree not being able to offer a rebuttal.
Charlie Bee I love anything that pisses off white fanboys.
If she wasn't a black woman, I'd be certain that's racist. But, she's not white, so it can't be...

She's apparently half black, half white.

Are you responding to my statement:

If so, I was referring to "Charlie Bee" and her statement that I quoted.

I was just adding color. I had no idea who she was.

I like that Stark is there.

Obviously.

I wonder if they did that on purpose.

Sarcastically.

I just like when they tie their properties together into a consistent universe, unlike what DC does.

Continuity is the most underrated theme in established properties.

It's also the largest roadblock for new readers/viewers.

Right?

I've heard Birdman helped him get the role of the Vulture.

He was really great on that movie. It's a stupid and boring movie, but his part in it was very impressive.

While I agree that Big Fish was very good, on Birdman we are split.

Saw it.

It was.... good, I guess?

It revolves around the fact that Peter Parker was 14 when he fought in Civil War, and he's 15 in this movie. He's being handled with kid gloves and it is driving him nuts. So I like the fact they dealt with the fact that teenagers are really fucking impatient to get their lives going... they did that well.

But it made the tone of this movie that of a teenager experiencing angst... and that's new for a Marvel movie.

So.

Yeah.

Also this movie carries on with the fact that the new reality full of superheroes can be really hard for the little guy. I sort of like that.

Technically, it's a Sony movie.

Marvel just helped them make it.

Watched this on Redbox. Was good. They did a great job of capturing Peter's hyper responsibility. Story was good. Getting tired of the apparent need for Tony Stark or his company to be involved in every aspect of the Marvel movie world. Starting to feel like the end of Spiderman: S2 E2 movie when all the forecasted bad guys (Rhino, Octopus, Vulture) were all going to come about due to Oscorp's technology. Starting to feel that way again with Stark.

Not a fan of hot Aunt May. And if they make oddball Michelle that her friends call "MJ" become MJ of Mary Jane fame moving forward, they should execute all people involved with the production of this.
