Actually, I've found a couple places that have it. But it's about one place in 20.

Sweet Tea is very much a southern concept. And while the south has imported quite a bit to the north, sweet tea is still taking a long time to get it's way there. I remember when Dr Pepper was only possible west of the Mississippi but east of El Paso, but now it's finally moved almost completely across the nation. It only took ~20 years.

I can't say I've honestly had GOOD sweet tea N. of the Mason-Dixon line before, so I'd be surprised if you can find it.

At least it ain't some Yankee coming down here and telling us we don't know how to make a bagel or a Reuben or some such BS. No shit. You want a Reuben, you stay up there. You want sweet tea, stay down here.

I feel that in fairness I need to come back to this thread and say that the yankee McDonald's up here in Yankeeland... at least the Ohio part of it... have recently added sweet tea to their menus, and it is quite good. Rivals (most) anything I've had in the south.

I agree with the sweet tea at McDonald's comment. (I did live down south for 4 years.)

I couldn't disagree more with the raspberry iced tea comment. You want fruit? Get fruit juice. Fruit flavored iced tea is for old women.

Most times at a restaurant I say, "Do you have sweet tea?"

"Well, we have raspberry flavored tea..."

Me: "OK, so the answer is no. I'll have a Coke, please."

Then they probably spit in it.
