You probably can't do it, so don't even try.

Hmmmm. Doesn't sound like a bad way to lose.

Half of me thinks that bagels are just terrible doughnuts.

The other half of me loves them, if you make a breakfast sandwich out of them. Like eggs, cheddar + bacon or sausage. Cream cheese or plain bagels are just lousy.

Costco cheesecake would be the end of me.... but thankfully they frost them in this sweet... whatever.... and it's just too much sweet for me.

I don't know if there's anything on Earth that's too sweet for me.

I read something once.... that like a 600 pound man could walk from Paris to Moscow without needing to eat any additional calories. But now I can't find it on google. Don't know how to phrase it.

What's up with lentils? I tried a sample at Costco a while back, and they taste awesome. A good weight-loss food?

1 lb = 3500 calories. It takes about 100 calories to walk 1 mile if you weigh 180 lbs. 333 for the 600 lb man.

So each mile traveled, the person burns off part of a lb. 1,762 miles between Paris + Moscow. Given that weight decreases over time, the person would burn fewer calories with time. Thus, a formula can be constructed to show weight at any given time as a product of distance traveled.

I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader.

But, that 600 lb person will still be pretty fat when they get to Moscow.

Even if they burned a constant 333 calories/mile, they'd still weigh 432lbs.

You can even give them some cushion (pun) at the beginning when they weigh 600 pounds and prolly can't walk a mile a day, and the math still works out.

I guewss you'd need to know how many days it would take them. Figure 15 miles a day, average, over the entire journey.

Well, I mean, if 2k calories is the typical healthy intake for an adult, that assumes that's your weight maintenance intake.

I think that assumes some level of movement. I would guess absent movement, it's more like 1500

That's where the 333 comes in. I'm not counting that in the baseline metabolism.

Oh for fucks sake.

1,762 mile trip, 15 miles per day = 118 days of walking.

1500 calories per day metabolism, 177k calories.
200 calories burned per mile, 352k calories.
Total calories burned over 118 days, and 1762 miles, 512k calories.

412k calories = 146 pounds.

Yeah, ok, you had already factored in the daily metabolism burn. You hadn't shown all your math.

FUCK a 600 pound guy could walk a good chunk across Asia without a single bite to eat (assuming his other obesity health problems didn't flare up when the food got cut off).

My math is off.

Corrections in bold. Just a dumb addition error.
