I like the little video where some guy takes a charging bull shark (?) And flips it on its nose.

Dove the zoo today, cleaning coral. That stupid little triggerfish was feeling territorial and kept nipping at me. Little vampire fangs couldn't get through my wetsuit, but could penetrate my gloves.

Second, how often are you there now? I want to come and make jokes while you're in the tank.

They're not doing feed shows yet post-covid, but i should prolly go once a week to help them clean. They lost about 95% of their volunteer divers who get bored and quit even without a pandemic making everything stupid. So the corals are covered in algae.

I just got a 5-year volunteer badge today.

Fake scuba diving gear - Scorkl

Looks interesting, but I'm quite sure where it fits in. When you're snorkeling, but want to do a little more? Admittedly I've had a few snorkeling heavy trips where this would have been nice.

Oh, and I wonder how long it takes to really pump that container back up with air.

Those seem dangerous. Some noob with no training goes down 30 feet, takes a deep breath of compressed air, then surfaces while holding breath. Lung expansion injury, death.

Would you know about that if you hadn't been scuba certified?

It was a Facebook ad. So I don't know.

But it feels like a reasonable device, don't use it below 30 feet, and you're golden. Probably has a warning like that.

At 30 feet, the air in your lungs will expand 2x at the surface. Balloon goes pop.

I don't know the right words to google stats for these recreational things, and injuries. You're only going to get about a minute of air at 30 feet.

I wonder if anyone would feel any pressure from that before pop.

Speaking of Gordon being in a lot of water, here's something local you might be able to dive someday Gordo.

Not at a depth of 650 feet, unless I get rich.

The Edmund Fitzgerald is only at 400 feet.

Just tie some really big rocks around yourself and you can get to that depth!

Speaking of the Edmund Fitz, at 400 feet it's too deep for recreational diving, but even so the US and Canada have a treaty to protect that area.... NO DIVING. But what always amazes me when I think about it is that as deep as it is, at 728 feet long it probably had hundreds of feet of boat still sticking out of the water when it hit the bottom.

That's crazy, yo.
