If you see a German today, they might need a hug.

Group E had a pretty exciting group of finishing games. Japan topped Spain, basically eliminating Germany

Some pretty stunning results.

Another small surprise as Uruguay goes home, and South Korea advances.

Saw that. Pretty crazy.

What do you think our chances are tomorrow? I wish Troy would pop back and weigh in as he always seemed to have a better take on soccer than us.

Low. I would have guessed about 25%. 538 says 35% We just don't have enough playmakers.

The first 6 games in the elimination have gone to form... Spain vs Morocco - 0 - 0, 2 OTs, now in penalty kicks. This would be a huge upset.

Morocco made the first 2, missed their 3rd. But, Spain was blocked on #1 and #3... and just missed on #2....

BOOM! Morocco converts #4! WOW

I missed the match, saw the PKs. Which, honestly, is kinda perfect. :) Although OT looked a little exciting in this case.

The more amazing thing is that of the 4 semifinal teams, 2 are from Group F - Morocco + Croatia. Each 1 game away from a potential rematch (0-0 tie to open the WC)
