Good to mitigate the risk of having a media/game/financial account compromised by bad actors.
Also makes it much more difficult to bequeath a Steam, Amazon Prime, Vudu, or wherever else you have digital assets of media, to an heir. Yeah, you can pass down the account name and password.... but unless they have your active cell phone with which to authenticate a new sign-in.... which isn't a given at all... then they'll never be able to access your Steam games. BAM.... stuff you paid for just disappeared, and needs to be purchased again.

My cell phone code is in my 'in case of death's file
It's not me, it's someone else.

Yeah but you have to count on someone paying the bill and keeping it active.

It's just something to keep in mind. Make sure, "Keep access to my email and cell phone until all accounts switched over!" is in your "In case of death/incarceration" file.

Who cares, I'll be dead. That sounds like a living problem.
