Has there ever been a worse browser than this piece of shit?

It is a daily occurrence that this thing is locked. I don't even use it at home, and have all but eliminated it from my work PC. I still need to keep it as some of my users use it.

Right now I have a LinkedIn tab, a Best Buy tab, Truvista's home page, and one MSN story and the whole browser is completely locked and unusable.

This is every fucking day. 1-4 tabs and it's broken and unrecoverable. This is not hyperbole. I mean EVERY FUCKING DAY.

MS' new CEO is really doing a bang up job! Auditing customers non-stop, continuing an X-Box line that's losing money, ignoring PC Gamers, getting crushed by Steam, moving towards business practices that will have people talking monopoly again, copy all the worst parts of Apple, jacking up the price of the Surface Book to Mac levels, acting like their new browser is anything but an unusable sack of shit, etc.

MS Edge is completely incompatible with half of the third-party website vendors the college does business with to provide assorted services to our students and employees. I keep having to explain to people with Windows 10 that Edge doesn't work with the survey system and then trying to tell them how to use Internet Explorer instead. Most of them are very confused about the difference.

Chrome is winning by virtue of the fact that Mozilla and MS have gone insane.

I was so excited to see MS opting to try to just start from scratch with a browser rather than only offering IE. Now IE looks like a Cadillac by comparison. So MS improved the image of IE. So... congrats?

Stock prices from the past 5 years say yes. Up about 30 points since he took over.

Hooray for short term planning!!!!

Apple climbed to the top that way and now have a great rep and an undeniably bright future. It's not like they don't innovate and all, right?

To be fair to MS, they seem to have this cursed business model where the success and functionality of their products has an inverse relationship with their marketing and promotion of that product.

Look at XP Media Center edition. That was hardly even talked about and pretty much was the first streaming service (though it mostly happened within a closed network) before there was a streaming service.

On one of my flights home from St. Louis recently, the guy next to me was working on a presentation pitching Edge's functionality and features to IT people. I don't think he was a Microsoft guy, but rather some other vendor using Edge as their platform.

I did not engage him.
