The other day I went out to mow the lawn, and there was a tiny baby bird on the ground. Dead. Rotting, being eaten by ants.

We'd had some pretty severe thunderstorms a few days ago, and apparently he got knocked out and didn't make it. I did find his sibling though, still in the nest.

Very cute.

The anarchists you show protesting...wouldn't it be great if someone started gunning them down and the cops just stood there not helping? When the anarchists started screaming for the cops to do something, the cops could respond with "You should be happy, we're giving you exactly what your protests demanded."

A robin built a nest on the light fixture on my garage. I can just barely reach high enough with the camera to see what is inside.

I get the provolone cheese at Subway, which is round. Instead of putting it down one way to minimize overlap, the do it rotated 90 degrees so every piece overlaps another.
