The Shopping Cart Theory

Saw this on FB today, and it's interesting to think about. I think you can extend it to more than just shopping carts, but generally, little actions can show your character as a human being. How long before we have AI that can track your every move and determine if you're likely to be a piece of shit or not?

How the store treats me is what determines where my cart ends up. If I have to check myself out, they can put their cart away. If they check my cart on the way out to make sure I'm not stealing anything, they can put there own cart back. The list goes on. Tired of them outsourcing their labor to me and/or being treated like a repeat shoplifting offender when I leave the place.

Speaking of checking myself out. The attendants can shove their attitude up there asses when I need help fixing a mistake. I'm sorry I missed register orientation and didn't receive proper training or my log in information from HR so I can take care of the issue myself.

Lastly, I DO always make sure my cart is secure so that it doesn't get blown into other parked cars. I am a human after all.

I don't walk fast. If the weather is inclement, and the corral far away, it's just miserable for me to take that time to do it myself, when they employ people whose job is to do it anyway.

Plus, as Cake said, I don't work there. I say please, and thank you, and am more polite to the cashiers and other workers than a great majority of other shoppers, but that's my line. "The mark of a good person" is horse shit.

I think the person who has to collect the carts wrote that.

I return other people's carts.

Only assholes leave their carts out.

Well, honestly, I never go to the store. But when I do, I do try to not be an asshole.

Look at you putting the shopping cart people out of work.

I bet you never even break any windows to keep the glass guy working.

I really don't know how not wanting a part time job at the grocery store makes me an asshole.

Hey. Why don't you empty that full can of garbage over there while you're at it. And those shelves aren't going to restock themselves. I mean. You don't want to be an asshole, do you?

And while we're at it, the attendant has to mop the whole bathroom at the end of the the night anyway, right?

Well, I'm fully justified in taking a huge shit right next to the hand dryer.
