Drumpf's alternative facts.
Dipshit Drumpf escalated his attack on Sweden’s migration policies on Monday, doubling down on his suggestion — based on a Fox News report — that refugees in the Scandinavian country were behind a surge in crime and terrorism.
Well, no.
Moreover, statistics in Sweden do not back Mr. Trump’s claims. Preliminary data released last month by Sweden’s crime prevention council found no significant increase in crimes from 2015, when the country processed a record 163,000 asylum applications, to 2016. The council did note an increase in assaults and rapes last year, but it also recorded a drop in thefts and drug offenses.
...
Officials say they have not seen any evidence for the claim, prevalent in right-wing news outlets like Breitbart and Infowars, that migration has driven a major surge in crime.
Ok, backpedal #1.
Mr. Drumpf then said on Twitter that he was referring to a Fox News segment about an American filmmaker who argues that the police in Sweden are covering up a migrant-driven crime wave.
Whoa, suddenly Fox News is a reputable news source to him again. Funny how that changes from day to day. However, still wrong.
“The problem is that the segment had a lot of incorrect information in it,” she said. “There aren’t any no-go zones in Sweden, and the number of crimes against individuals is at about the same level as it was.”

She added: “This incident demonstrates the importance of thoroughly critiquing sources to prevent spreading incorrect images that risk fomenting xenophobic sentiments in society. That Sweden is portrayed incorrectly is very serious. We cannot allow reality to be kidnapped by untruths that become true just because they are repeated enough times.”
And finally, backpedal #2.
Give the public a break - The FAKE NEWS media is trying to say that large scale immigration in Sweden is working out just beautifully. NOT!
Yet again, no.
The Swedish Embassy in Washington offered the Drumpf administration a briefing on its immigration policies. On Monday, Sweden’s prime minister, Stefan Lofven, said he was surprised by Mr. Drumpf’s comments, and noted that Sweden ranked highly on international comparisons of economic competitiveness, human development and income inequality.
...
Manne Gerell, a doctoral student in criminology at Malmo University, said in an interview that immigrants were disproportionately represented among suspects in crimes, particularly in more serious and violent offenses. But he also noted that many of the victims were other immigrants, whether members of criminal networks or simply residents of poor neighborhoods.

“Immigration will come with some cost, and we will likely have a bit more crime — but that’s in a society with low crime rates and in a society that works really well, so in my opinion, it’s something we can live with,” he said. “I know everybody won’t agree with that. But immigration will not double the crime rate, make everybody go broke or turn Sweden into a living hell.”
...
Carl Bildt, a former prime minister and foreign minister of Sweden, made a jab at Mr. Drumpf on Twitter: “Just a piece of friendly advice: when you are in a hole, stop digging.”

Trump doesn't backpedal. That's not what that is.

Someone's put a price tag on Dipshit Drumpf's plans. However, it's no doubt a radical leftie, hippie think tank.
The right-leaning American Action Forum last year analyzed the force necessary to apprehend and remove all 11.3 million illegal immigrants from the U.S. within two years.

“(T)he federal government would need to increase federal immigration apprehension workers from 4,844 to 90,582, immigration detention personnel from 5,203 to 53,381, federal immigration attorneys from 1,430 to 32,445, and immigration courts from 58 to 1,316,” the group found.

The group estimated it would take hundreds of thousands of extra detention beds, 17,000 chartered airplane flights, and 30,000 chartered bus trips each year.

The total price tag would be $100 billion to $300 billion, the group estimates.

The sheer cost of Trump’s hardline efforts isn’t the only economic pain that will be felt if millions are deported.

Brian Garcia, a legal advocate for immigrant youth, told the Arizona Republic the “change in policy places a priority on hurting families” who “come to the U.S. to work, pursue an education, and contribute to our economy.”

According to an analysis from the American Action Forum, a conservative-leaning think tank, the U.S. economy could shrink by $1.6 trillion over the next 20 years as a result of the deportations.

So it would be cheaper to just shoot them?

I hear they have some pretty big antique train cars over in Germany that can move people. I bet we can purchase them cheaply.

Cheaper, but still expensive.

Just finally using up all those cold-war nukes to turn the entire surface of our country to glass would be both the cheapest and most certain solution to the problem.

Oh, so it's not all just about finding the cheapest solution. Now you want to be picky.

I vaguely wonder if this is true.
Sara Beltran-Hernandez, 26, a mother of two young children, was bound by her hands and feet and removed by wheelchair from Huguley Hospital in Fort Worth late Wednesday by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents who brought her to a detention facility in Alvarado, Texas.
...
Beltran-Hernandez was picked up by immigration agents in November 2015 while trying to get from El Salvador to New York to visit her mother and other relatives who live in Queens. She has been detained ever since at the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas, while her family petitioned for asylum, citing threats of violence against her, from a domestic partner, among others.

Beltran-Hernandez was transferred from the detention center to the hospital in Fort Worth this month after complaining of headaches, nosebleeds and memory loss. Doctors diagnosed a brain tumor and put her on a waiting list for emergency surgery, which was supposed to take place this weekend, according to her legal team. They were stunned when the agents removed her from the hospital Wednesday.
I wouldn't be shocked if it is.

I wouldn't either, but I also wouldn't be shocked if it was horseshit.

The binding her ankles thing is the red flag. They only do that when you're resisting hardcore and using your legs. I'd wonder how a critically ill woman could really do that.

To their credit...
The agency said in a statement Thursday, “During her stay at the hospital, ICE ensured that she was able to speak to her family and to her attorney by phone. Like all detainees in our care, Ms. Beltran will continue to have access to 24 hour emergency medical care and to any required specialized treatment at an outside facility.’’ The statement also said that a doctor had determined she was stable enough to be discharged and that she will be seen again by a medical specialist next week.
Still, while I'm happy to send illegals home, I'd prefer they start with illegals in jail or illegals collecting unemployment. Grabbing women in hospitals awaiting brain surgery wouldn't be at the top of my to do list.

On the other hand, maybe they want to get her out before she gets the million dollar surgery on our dime, assuming she knew she was sick before she got here, which is what my dollar would be bet on.

You probably aren't wrong.

That's the thing nobody mentions about our health care system pre-Obamacare. Sure, it's expensive, but it funds research for the rest of the world, and it was also the best. People from around the world came here to get stuff done that their socialist health care couldn't. But quality vs quantity is a discussion for another thread.

Isn't this bullshit allegedly about booting people who are criminal risks and keeping us safe?

No idea if that's the official stance.

Personally, I'm more concerned with their negative impact on our economy, culture, and how they would change our political course.

And again, just talking about 11 million illegals, not a hundred million legals.

If the border was secure, she wouldn't have needed to be booted in the first place. She knew she was breaking the law crossing the border, and she knew she was trying to steal medical treatment (if she was truly cognizant of her condition).

Hey, I'd probably go for it too, if I saw no other options, but I wouldn't expect everyone who disagrees with my decision to burn in hell with the other nazis.

So goddamn the people who don't want illegals stealing it from them?

I mean, the more people who don't pay taxes, health insurance, car insurance, don't answer for crimes, break the laws, don't speak the language, vote one way, send money out of the country, etc. the worse for the people who live here. So fuck them for wanting that shit to stop, right?

I can find a billion things the feds and states waste their cash on that deserve cutting before even I'm willing to drag out someone with a brain tumour requiring a significant neurological operation.

Yep, and I've already posted that I think they should start with illegals in prison and other such folks before getting around to this lady.

But you go ahead and cling to this one example, as if it's all examples, because it's the one that fits your "anything Trump does is bad" agenda.
