Got to agree with Catt here, but not saying Gordon is completely off base.
Most Ds don't agree with the insanity of the extreme left, as many polls have proven. It's just that they're the loudest voices in the room. Why the D party keeps bending over for them, I have no idea. It's the exact same question I have of the Rs and their insistence upon bending over their extreme. The extremes will NEVER vote for the other party, so stop coddling them because you're just pushing away your MUCH larger moderate base.
But the conspiracy theorist in me thinks that's the point. As long as the crazies are the voices you hear, we spend time screaming at each other. If the moderates ran the parties and was the voices you'd hear our attention would be given to the job our elected officials are doing. That means we'd be looking at why (corruption) they voted for _______ rather than worrying about "what is a woman".
