One small nitpick. I don't believe W has banned stem-cell research. I think all he's done is prohibit federal funds from being used, and IIRC, that ban only extends to research on new stem-cell lines from embryos. Doesn't really affect your argument, but I figured you'd want to know. You are correc...

Hell, I played the original Castle Wolfenstein on my Atari 800.

That was before it was 3D :)

All that. . . has nothing to do with frame rate. There is no FPS or other game that is going to use the hard drive as part of the graphics rendering engine. I would bet a million dollars that his hard drive will not be the part of his computer that keeps his video card from reaching it's full poten...

I might not have a problem with a national health care plan, aslong as it doesn't prohibit private plans (the way so many of them do today). Maybe have a "voucher" system for it like they talk about for education. Of course, this would most likely kill the national health care system sinc...

Three years later, I wouldn't argue so hard in favor of public transportation.... beyond planning the cities to potentially have a rail/whatever system, if it is wanted later. Heheh... I wonder abut a lot of your views from three years ago, and if you're not a bit further right than you were then ;)

While I would not have liked the outcome, the previous popular vote was definitively not in Bush's favor. This shows that the electoral college does not follow the will of the people. And as much as we are a republic and not a democracy, picking our leaders should always be at the behest and will o...

Dr. Connor was mentioned in the first movie (it was the lab assistant job Pete lost because he couldn't show up on time, before doing the photo thing). And there was an age difference in the comics (though not as great as in the movie) between Otto and May. And they almost got married in the comics...

Ok, so nobody likes the first paragraph. Does anyone have anything to add to the 2000 election stuff? If I am inturpreting incorrectly, I'm open to correction. But I'm pretty sure the "Bush stole the election" line is horseshit, as per the evidence I provided. Pretty much nailed it. Supre...

Yeah, the Gore thing never really bothered me because it was all semantics (sp?). Gore claimed more involvement than he had. Two things made the internet what it is today. The original framework which was placed to tie all the skunk-works facilites together (it was a military move, not a "shar...

I look to IGN for reviews, plus when I'm not sure I rent the game first. The computer industry has had problems for years on magazines giving better reviews (for both hardware and software) to those that advertise with them. I remember years ago my mom subscribed to a PC magazine (I forget the titl...

Right. We didn't try throwing a part with strippers and midgets for Saddam to get him to comply.
