I heard the first ep of season 2 didn't blow ratings away, and it may be canceled again halfway through the season.

I never really heard of this show until season 1 marathoned on Universal-HD last week, and the nuke commercials looked interesting and I DVR'd it. Damn, what a good show. And since this is the spoiler thread I will just say that Major Dad's death really sucked. He was my fave character. Also, half ...

I had to use it a few times. Twice when I gor virused it worked great. Once when I was trying to restore some files it wasn't there for me. It isn't a true "restore system to previous date," but it mostly is.

This is an amazon review of a particular Samsung Blu-Ray player. Significant for illustrating the problem of Sony's built in, and ever changing, DRM and its effect on these players. I have a BD-P1400, a PS3, and an Xbox 360 + HD-DVD drive. In the month that I've had the Samsung it's done a terrific...

Yeah, I can pretty much agree with that. Everything I know about the tech I've had to actively search out. You'd think the manufacturers would, like, volunteer a little information at me. BTW, one of the big "It looks better with an upconverted standard DVD than on native hidef" products ...

Actually, I've heard that the high def players are not only backward compatible with DVDs, but they are also "upscalers," supposedly making regular DVDs look much better. I have heard the exact opposite. Somebody far less lazy than Gordon or I needs to look this up. If both formats are ba...

Leisher wounds me deeply when he says he wont watch a Harry Potter marathon with me, so here's me still working on him by posting stuff from people who didn't think they'd like the series until they actually gave it a chance: I decided it was time to read the Harry Potter series. Last Monday, I sat...
