Finally tried out the service, as the wife wanted some Christmas songs we did not have. The downloading and purchasing is VERY EASY. Almost too easy. Just click "Buy mp3" then click to confirm (you can even make it a one-click purchase, but that seems dangerous). I purchased 5 songs, 89 c...

Guitar Hero 3 entered my house today, as a gift from my wife. I spent a while going back and forth as to whether I ever wanted to play this game. Decided I didn't want it, and so didn't buy it. My wife bought it for me anyway, since friends of hers had been talking it up. It's a lot of fun. I'm onl...

Porn killed Beta. Porn will kill Blu-Ray. I will enjoy watching Sony suffer. PS3 owners demanding porn. More news coming from Hi-Def Digest today as they're reporting porn studio Digital Playground has decided to go dual format after being HD-DVD only for quite some time. Reason for the turnover: P...

I'd try a data recovery program. Just because the files were the same name, etc doesn't mean the contents of the files on the drives were over-written.

But there is no easy way that I know of.

I ran my XP defrag today.

At the end it said "Could not defragment some files," then gave my a button to click to see the files. I clicked and a little window popped up.

It was blank.

So it's like a generic "Check engine" light in a car? I hate those. I want to know exactly which sensor is flagging an alarm, and I want to know without an expensive car diagnostic machine. It's more like a tachometer than has a 1 and a 0. 1 = Engine is on. 0 = Engine is off. That's usefu...

Ah, the Macification of the OS. one of the biggest and consistent complaints we had from users (broad sample here from home users to experienced IT Pros) in the past was that a vast majority of them had no idea what the detailed fragmentation statistics they saw meant. The Windows XP graphical view...

Monoprice has great prices.

They get those prices by barely meeting the specs.

That being said, we've used it for a lot of stuff at work, I think 1 of the 120 CAT5e/6 cables we used was dead out of the gate, but other than that - no problems
