"We will do everything we can to avoid a war in Iraq" "War is our last option" (Although, possible that it was also the only option they considered, and therefore true) I think war actually was the last option of the ones that were on the table. But I think there was a point whe...

Not saying he doesn't know how it should be played, just not sure he can pull it off. I mean, I love Clint Eastwood, but I just watched Mystic River last night and I've had to conclude that Clint's a better director than he is an actor (and Heartbreak Ridge is a "must have" in my collecti...

Vin Diesel playing a brilliant criminal mastermind? I can't see it. If he were able to pull that off, I may have to re-evaluate my opinion of him as an actor (not that I don't like him, but he's not really a deep character actor that I can tell). To Gordo's point about Bane, I really couldn't under...

Wait... didn't I watch a dvd at your place on an XBox, once?
That was at my place.

I guess in reality, everyone in a war "loses". The winner is the one that loses the least. And as Gordo said, since they ceased to exist and we're still here... W1NN3r!

To me it depends on the game. In Aliens vs Predator, for example, I can't imagine playing tha in anything other than FP. That's part of what makes the game so creepy to play. Max Payne, on the other hand, would have been a complete waste in FP. What's the point of having bullet time if you can't se...

Talking with my dad this week, we both expect Bush to get a bit of a boost from Reagan's death. It really gives you pause to look at what made him what he was and you can't help but compare.

I saw this the other day. Wasn't as horrible as everyone had me thinking it was, but by no means a great film. Glad I didn't see it in the theater, but not clawing my eyes out, either.

I think that's the difference. I approached them ready to enjoy them.

Preconceived opinions can be deadly.
Well, they can be if you're not open minded ;)

I found the first two entertaining. Even though there wasn't an original idea in any of them (save maybe the "broom-stick game"), I found myself enjoying the movies, while I was completely ready to hate them.

After pondering it some more last night, I realized what bugged me so much about Ty. I promise this isn't a spoiler, but if you know anything about serial killers then you'll realize why Sy's actions bugged me so much. By the end of the film, it all just didn't add up. As for the blood spurting sce...

Wow. I thought it was pretty poor, myself. Maybe I would have liked it more if I'd waited to rent it. It seemed to me that there just wasn't enough story to make a full feature film out of this. I wasn't impressed. Plus, the whole "gushing blood from the eyes" sequence was really out of p...
