Can you explain/elaborate? Are cell phones forbidden bc they can be used to determine location? (of traffic victims, I guess?)

Just thinking more about this: I suspect it's not just the color of the light. Screens flicker at a very high frequency. We may not consciously notice, but I bet that it induces "brain waves" (similar to how flashing lights can cause a seizure). Because sleep is associated with a certain p...

Apple devices have a built-in low-blue mode that automatically comes on at night ("night shift") but like Catt said, it could just be snake oil.

I used to be awful at sleeping. Interestingly, I think low-carb and feeding windows help there; be sure to stop caffeine intake in the early afternoon though. I also take vitamin D in the morning and zinc/magnesium at night. These help. Melatonin works great for some people ( long but good resource ...

The thing you have to remember about Tim Ferris is...he's kind of a bullshit artist. I mean, the things he writes might be technically true but you should take it with a truckload of salt. I think in general if you want to lose "weight" (in quotes bc you probably REALLY want to reduce your...

201191 can we now take the same plan of action towards something else? Cancer? Cystic Fibrosis? The Common Cold? And so on. If I have the right mental model, the mRNA vaccine idea is that it causes some of your cells to manufacture proteins that look like part of the virus enough to make your immun...

201186 201185 They are already saying that even with the vaccine we have to wear masks and stay home. WTF is the goddam point, then? Oh ok, YOU won't get sick. I mean, they are not saying that it doesn't stop the spread, but that they are still collecting data to see. Sure. And that's the correct w...

Well...you already won't get it if you're not a fat or old. The only legit reason to compel people t...

I don't really like movies much to begin with; extra don't like "Christmas" movies because the only time I watch them is when I'm trapped in the house at Christmas time (either the in-laws or my parents). But this year we stayed home, so I kind of enjoyed Die Hard. My wife loves Love Actua...

I don't really care for mass battle scenes. This one was interesting in that they were only destroying ruins (in the desert? I thought it was Siberia). We never really see who they're fighting though. I joked w my son: they're probably fighting themselves from the future/past.
