A few years ago, Google's main source of income was ad revenue.

but the savings would be lost with out-of-state-student fees. Look into scholarships. It's amazing how many are out there. Very much. My kid is getting $5k per year from the Marine Corps Foundation, for example...... which required more work in the application that the college application, itself. ...

My kid is always talking about transferring out to somewhere cheaper. I nudged him to Miami, gently. I wanted him to have a taste of.......... being surrounded by a higher standard of living than he grew up with. Surrounded by rich kids, not half-ass farmers with chickens and making homemade jerky. ...

Seriously, too many people think "you can be whatever you want to be" is still true if you don't have other sources of funding. My kid has become very fiscally conservative... he hates spending money. He's chosen his higher education based on what has the highest return for his education-d...

Interesting. It occurs to me to contemplate the why of it.... I wouldn't guess they have a dastardly intent, "Ha ha, this will divide people." So why? Just because if they can target comments appropriately, that person is more likely to return, and give them more ad revenue? We're being so...

Most of those are fine, if they're already rich.
The great majority of people don't understand that a lot of these majors are for people who don't actually need a real job. They got $50k deep in debt and think there's any demand for what they've learned.

Cutting down the carbs, still want snacks and protein, so tried this once. See how it works out. You can get store-bought like you're some kind of titled lord, but it's expensive and is required to have preservatives and any real man from the 1800s knew how to make his own. I did this recipe. https:...

The two women -- identified as Jane Doe I and Jane Doe II in the lawsuit filed Friday night in Duval County Circuit Civil Court -- accuse McManus of rubbing himself against them and grinding against them. They also accuse the Jaguars of failing to supervise McManus and failing to create a safe envi...

The following contains spoilers that were in the trailers. Which were a lot. So read at your peril. 1. It's too bad that they spoiled the twist right in the trailers, because they had an opportunity for a "From Dusk Til Dawn" moment for a new generation. The vampire rules were nearly the s...

I've used YouTube music, Pandora, and Spotify. TO MY KNOWLEDGE I wouldn't be able to play an entire album in order, unless I bought it first. But then I still have to pay for the streaming service.

What's dumb is.... For example, there are at least 100 groups out there dedicated to native Americans. And after the third time I saw a picture of some natives flipping off mount Rushmore, I started blocking them. Three different pictures. And since then, I have blocked about 30 groups of native Ame...

I think radio play pays way more to the artist than Spotify and Pandora. Probably why radio is ancient and out of fashion, just like the mp3 file format. Everything must be streamed. No one makes money when you play your own physical media.

Well, I mean, yeah. The most successful artist on the planet is selling albums. What fraction of bands are there than what we had in 1989 are releasing albums and getting radio play?
