A Quiet Place
That nail. As soon as they introduced it, it ruined the movie for me. There was no reason for the nail to have ever been there. Why was it there? What was being nailed there that the nail was up from under the stair? And even if it served some purpose in the past, why the hell was is just left there...

As is often the case, typing out the issue here causes rethinking stuff and thinking of different ways to search for help. Ticket creation is now one query. I do NOT have it explicitly set as a transaction. I'm told that it is automatically considered one in postgresql. That being said. . . one of t...

I rewrote the query with a bunch of INNER JOINS. While the initial load of the screen takes a few seconds longer, interacting with the data is much faster, and more stable. For some reason, the DB will sometimes refuse to answer a query. This leaves you with empty fields. Over all, a big improvement...

Also, with Harris, I feel like it's not an automatic loss for the Dems now. But damn, it's like they are trying to see how close they can get to losing, without actually losing. But with that as your plan, you still might lose. On the other hand, if she does win. . . Hillary's gonna be like "FU...

Your first sentence isn't my point. This one is. It felt like you were arguing individual points that Leisher listed. And ya. We forget the bad stuff cause humans want to have been happy, or something. Also, quit saying . . .if nobody cares . . . Because I do! But people only want to remember what ...

Well, as long as the other side did something too, then none of it matters. . . Leisher's claims are all valid. All of the stuff happened. However, most of it would have happened no matter who was in office. And the things that were relevant to Biden alone (showers with kids and sniffing, etc) would...

As you know, I've been building a web app that does stuff for us. I have a page that displays ticket data. The data is pulled from many different tables. So each time I want to view a different table, there's about 8 queries that have to run to pull all the data from each table. There is noticeable ...

I think there's more to the joke that's being left out. Not only is it the only word they can spell, but they even have to team up on it, each taking half the word. And is he a scumbag? I don't know who he is other than being on the Daily Show. This came from a random link in the Edge home page feed.

Played some games tonight. There was a pretty active newb group running. Max OS of 20. So we had some zeros playing, but whatever. VERY different games when you don't have the elites running things. First one, I was distracted and it was pretty embarrassing. But after that, I held my own. There was ...

Just like League of Legends. You can do it wrong, as long as your lane opponent does it more wrong!

I thought we were waiting for the game of the year version of DL2. If we are going to skip the last expansion and just play now, I'm ok with that. I would also do forest, but I'd want to stay on task. We would always focus on base building and never progress the story. I felt like it became a game w...

I should have added, I've never been in a pharmacy (and I've been in 100's) and heard the staff say "Finally. We're all caught up."
They get irritated by a 5 minute system delay, and they love it when you take the phones down so that they will stop ringing.

When CVS bought the Target pharmacies, we ended up with two CVS's in the same parking lot. 7 years later, they are both still open. Add the Kroger in the same lot, and you have 3 RX's. The Walgreens that was across the intersection from those 3 did close though. I have come to the conclusion that we...
