Because the two are unrelated in this context. How you approach one thing does not neceissarily work to approach something else. For instance, you milk a cow by getting to its udder and using hand motion to extract milk. This same approach will not work, however, with the bull. While you might get ...

Can you be specific? I'd really like to see what you think is so different between the games. That way, I can compare my more in-depth knowledge of EQ with your more in-depth knowledge of UO and see where we are? We should go point by point so we don't get confused and off topic. We can start with ...

Bah, you guys never played EQ much, did you? The group tactics were actually very important. Not to mention raw material gathering, refining, making it into items, and selling items. I just don't think you all felt the depth inherent in EQ. Now, I will say that I have no idea as to the depth of UO....

And I feel that over the shoulder 3rd person can be just as immersive as 1st person, but most of the time I prefer 1st.

Ok, I was just getting irritated at the fact that we've hashed over this before, not to mention the severe off-topic nature of the conversaton. HOWEVER, perspective is one of the most notable features in gameplay. Now, let me ask again, for MBB or TPR or any other EQ defender: Removing graphics fro...

Agreed, I think they could have implemented a better chat process. But I think chat boxes are necessary, but nothing says they can't be distance limited. I haven't seen the chat util for UO, but the chat on EQ never really bothered me.

And, Issues with Chat < Issues with Overall Gameplay

Gameplay, 1st person always involves the user better than 3rd person. BTW, this is an opinion. I feel this way. If you feel different. BIG FUCKING DEAL. Play UO if you want. Anything you say against this point will be opinion as well and will be taken as such. I agree to disagree on this point. Ple...

Yea, nothing like leveling to 50 only to get your class nerfed. Woohoo for EQ! Bad administration does not make the game bad. Just bad leaders. One of the major reasons I left EQ was the direction it kept taking. Stupid hippie nerfing to keep everyone from whining about anything. Instant transport ...

I dismissed it because it sucks. I've seen it and didn't care for it. The reason EQ succeeded after UO was because it was a better game. Now, UO was a much earlier game and was dated when EQ came out and it's not UOs fault. It's just an old game that can't compete. I think, since you can do as much...
