We met TDE the day a friend of ours was killed on Bucs Den. For nothing more than being gray. What the hell? It's legal, right? After some words, they ended up at our forge. Talking MUCH smack, and just trying to cause trouble. Hmmm. Ok, so we declared war on them. They accepted. (oops) They quickly mounted a few attacks and killed us, etc. That was fine though. All our wars start out that way (Ok, so this is only our second war. So what?!). It lets the enemy set the tone of the war. As one would expect from a group of noto-pking trash talkers, they were res-killing, killing our horses, etc. Anything they could do, they were doing it. No biggie though. Not a problem. . . .
So then we start getting ready for the war. We build our tactics, start scouting, etc. You know, the usual stuff. After gathering some intel, we start mounting our attacks. It was the 23rd of January, and that's where our day to day coverage starts. As you can see from the numbers, TDE wasn't doing too well. But it's funny. Cause they thought they were. The trash talk was thick. And really made no sense what-so-ever. But that's a story to be told some place else . . .
It wasn't long before their members were getting tired of losing their equipment over and over and over. . . They started resigning. They went from about 25 back then, to about 15. It became rather hard to find them. But we would see them at their house, so we spent some time there. Then they merged with *F*. So their number shot up to 45. LDR was with us by now, and we had no problems dealing with them. Those are the days of our 14+ TDE kills and less than 7 TKV deaths. Normally at that time was 10+ TDE deaths and about 3 TKV. But throughout the war, we maintained a 3 to 1 kill ratio. And then *F* seemed to leave. . .and their numbers dropped to the low 20's again. They became REAL hard to find now. Thus the gaps in the day to day coverage.
Well, we now come to the 3rd generation of TDE. They changed their whole guild. Deleted their old stone so they chould get rid of that Chaos stuff and concentrate on us. They are trying to get real organized now. It's kinda cute. They have learned alot from us. Their numbers are heading back into the 40's, and they are feeling pretty good about themselves. LDR is off fighting their own war now. They figure we are fine with TDE, and don't need them. So now it's just TKV, and whoever TDE can scrounge up. We greet Dyc, Ragu and the couple other regulars back again. . .and we are looking forward to meeting all their new members again. Stay tuned to see how things unfold. . . .
For your entertainment, here are some letters we have recieved from various TDE members over time. . . .
this is Pole aka Slim Shady aka Dark Jedi from TDE
i wanna inform you that you somehting wrong about us:
1) you listed our GM skills wrong most of us at 5x gm warriors and 4 of our
mages are 7x gm.-- that embarrases us that u ahve us down for 3, for
example my frined Inego is- GM Healing, Anatomy, Fencing, Archery, and Tactics.
Dyceldarg is - GM Mage, Swords, Tact, Wrestling, Eval int, Magery, Meditation
and resist.
2) on your war info with TDE u dont shot screenshots of u dead and the only
ones u have is of some lamer paralyzing someone and then sending a
demon after them, that is not fighitng that is called being gay... well in my
book when that is all you can do do what you can because we can
always dispel them...
No offense but i hope you take some from this.. you never fight you always run
into your guildhouse and start banning us.
3) get some balls and pvp we are in minoc 24:7 bring ur best and die like the
rest.
4) we are not only a NPK guild but a lamer-killing guild, and occasionally we
do PK.
5) my personal opinion get some wallpaper on your website plane white sucks.
Get some graphix too.
if you wanna comment please icq cuz email blows

----------i posted this email on the joining section cuz i knew thered be one
there and i didnt really want to look around for it somewhere else.
Look at the War Update pages. You will see that all the fighting starts in Minoc. . . . then, progresses to fighting at their house. 80% of our guild is banned from their house. . .
I was told that 'plane white sucks'. Is that like 'grass green' or 'brick red'? I just don't remember the 'plane white' crayon. . . .
Hello (I dont know your in game name),
I am Vincent Valintin aka Macross in game.
I would like to ask you a
few
questions, that could help make our war better. First off, I would
like to
know when the majority of your guild is on, and I can let you know when
we
are on, to help us (and you) organize strikes better. Being that we
are a
large guild, at least 2 or 3 of us are online at all times, but we peak
between 9-11:30 central time. Also, we are going to set up a web page
similar to your war section, devoted to screens fromt he war, since
yours
are missing any/all of our kills (not blaming you, who would take a
screen
of their own death?). I would also like to ask you why it seems, that
your
guild must rely on the guildhouse for protection? This ruins the war
for
us, and makes it a lot less real...At no point have we ever hidden in
our
house, whenever you find us at the Ice isle house, We always come
outside
to fight, not hide in our house and ban people/shoot magic. This
affects
us in amny ways, becuase not only is it hard for us to kill you (mostly
becuase ALL of our melees are rendered useless, being banned from the
house) but also if we do manage to kill you, we cannot loot the
corpses,
thus the victory has no rewards. It would be very cool if we could do
htings such as fight over towns/take over the enemy's base town, ect.
These are just some suggestions I have that I feel would make the war
better. Oh, and this is just a thought but...I was thinking we could
inforce rules about looting runes/clothing, as these arent worth much,
but
they are a pain in the ass to get back.

This was a civilized request for the most part. Snuck a BIT of smack talk in there. . .but over all, much better than your average TDE member. . . But I have to point out the number of TKV members banned from their house. . . . The rest of his requests just don't make sense to me. . . I don't think there is anything wrong with using your house for protection. It never even DAWNED on me to ask someone to unban me so I could loot them. I point out us being banned for irony's sake only.
Duel? If you want to duel, you don't go to war. We don't kill for sport. You killed our friend unjustly, and are now paying for it. You didn't ask my gray friend if he wanted to duel. You all pounced and killed him. But I degress. . . We are at war. Thus, dueling is not an option.
Subject: who do u guys never come out of your house... even when its an even
2v2?
Date: Wed, 02 Feb 2000 20:37:51 PST
do u guys only hunt in packs or somehting..... u never come out of your
house.... pls play with us and say u will duel...
Speechless. . . .
Still, very civilized. I'm impressed. But all of his requests were unreasonable. This was war, and war is hell. I never expected his counterparts to live up to anything above what they were already displaying anyway. Not sure how he got tangled up with TDE.
As stated earlier, they set the tone of the war. Up to this point, we had yet to kill a horse in battle. Unlike them. We do res-kill though. Would have even if they didn't. If you are an enemy, on the battle field, you will be killed. If you want safety, as you are unequiped, weak, etc. . . . don't look for it on the battle field. It's a big world out there. Don't go where the enemy is, unless you are prepared to die. They show great blindness to their own actions. To this day, we still hear their members ourside our house making fun of us for banning them. *sigh* But as I stated, logic is not something they have a firm grasp on.
He has a way of making me speechless. I do feel sorry for this one. Again, I must point out that TDE is no longer Chaos. Also, I did respond to him (didn't want to be a dumbass and all. . . . see what I mean about logic?) and the following is what he said. . . .
I noticed that Crete is on the TDE newbie stone, and was asking to be able to rejoin TDE. I sure hope this doesn't hurt his chances. Cause it's been a while since we have been able to relieve him of his equipment. Welcome back Crete!!! Maybe. . . .
