I actually heard this question on Bill Burr's podcast, and he had a pretty good answer for it without not answering or cheating the question.

There is no refractory period where I don't want to see anymore (except after tubgirl and goatse).
I think that if one were to lose their schlong, his body/lifestyle/mentality would adapt and compensate in some way. You'd either evolve a new form of sexuality or the importance would diminish.
Yes going blind would do lead to adaption, but it'd be a lot more extreme and you just can't compensate for the impact it would have on your life.
