I think it's pretty damned good. Post-modern super heroes and super villians, mostly bored with it all at this point, and just going through the motions.

I saw an episode the other night with them flashing back to their college days. Pretty damned funny.

You notice the heavy homosexual undertones, though? Every damned episode.

The only characters who arent gay are Brock, and he has a mullet.... definetly get the feeling of uncaring superhero/grossly homosexual doctor thing.

Dr. Girlfriend has is a hot woman with the body of... a hot woman, and a voice of that gay guy with the gravelly voice from Independence Day.

Cartoon network... Adult Swim... and here's their current schedule: http://schedule.adultswim.com/servlet....lter=as

There's clips of Adult Swim shows here.

The one they have up for Venture is amusing, but doesn't really show the right humor that is the tone of the show.

The Sealab and Aqua Teen clips are pretty good, though.

Adult Swim is usually the best part of my day.

Best scene I can remember from the show is when Brock the doctors huge superman bodyguard faces of against this other huge tribal looking black dude who is a bodyguard for another evil doctor...

Showdown music commences, they glare for a bit, and in the most ghetto street voice the Black dude throws the tribal headress on the ground and says "Screw this, I didn't need this job anyway"

Same episode... the third time Brock uses that interesting method of breaking the Doctor's fall.

Not sure if that's my fave moment, but it's a goodie.

I think my fave episode... either the college flashback, or the yard sale.

"Uh... on this shrink ray gun, there's a picture of a shrink ray gun. That's stupid. Wouldn't it make more sense to have a picture of a big guy next to a really small guy, with like ray-gun circles in between them?"

Season 2 started tonight, btw.

I laughed out loud at the "14 different ways..." part.

That episode was all kinds of great, right from the new intro.

"Gas leak, the silent killer."

Well you gotta have seen season 1 to appreciate season 2.

There was a cliffhanger.

I've figured this show out.

You know how when a series runs for a long time and starts to get stale, in the old days they'd bring in a precocious kid to liven things up? Cousin Oliver on Brady Bunch is the most famous example of this.

Well, that what The Venture Brothers did.... except this show started when it would otherwise have been stale. Like when that kick-ass Saturday morning cartoons The Superfriends brought in lame-ass Marvin & Wendy near the end, Venture Brothers brought in Dean and Hank, THEN began the series. There are all these flashbacks to when everyone and everything was "cool," but the show we get is after the kids are brought in.

Except the show is brand new and there's no past seasons to live up to.... so it gets to be cool in its own way, because there's no baggage.

Season 1 is on Netflix. If you haven't seen it yet, now is your chance.

My League of Legends team will be listening to it soon, at any rate.
