So... anything new worth watching this Fall?

I'm Tivo'ing the studio 60 show, just to see what it's about. But I've yet to hear of anything good coming up.

I'm chacking out Shark. Can't go wrong with James Woods. I'll let you know how it is.

Heroes?

Saw Studio 60.

West Wing: Sorkin wanting the President to be different.
Studio 60: Sorkin wanting Saturday Night Live to be funny.

I still like House.
A buddy of mine turned me on to that show. I was always a bit partial to Hugh Laurie. & I enjoy the way his character is written.

A matter of some debate, but I do not deny that similarities exist.

Mr. T is getting a new reality show where he goes around & (according to the TV promo) "straightens out fools." If it's actually Mr. T going around the country yelling at stupid people, it may be graced w\ my viewing.

Googled it and found this site.

Niki Sanders, a 33-year-old Las Vegas showgirl who can do incredible things with mirrors

I bet.

Shark seemed to be a bit too "by the numbers."

Woods did a good job though, ditto for the girl playing his daughter.

Agreed, the story, the secondary character, and the overall set-up for the show is rather formulaic. But Woods made it completely worth it regardless of any other drawbacks. I will be watching more.

"Psych" seems a bit better than most of the other shit out there.

Psych was very enjoyable.

Overall though, it seems like a shitty season of TV.

Dude, I can't remember the last time that I thought most shows on TV didn't suck.

Well, back ~1999-2000, Tuesday nights on Fox was very enjoyable to me because the shows that were on were funny. I never really gave a damn about TV, but I had no problem sitting through them. I also tuned in regularly to watch Futurama when it was still on (before Fox screwed with it's timeslot and schedule in the last summer before it went off).

But yeah, TV mostly sucks. I didn't even finish watching the final episodes of That 70's Show. 7 years invested in the show and I didn't even give a crap about the 8th season after about 4-5 episodes in. It had started to suck after about the 3rd-4th year anyway, but still had funny parts (to me, the only one that matters in my mind).

Shark and Heroes have been good so far. The Class has been funny. John Ritter's son is in that. He's pretty funny. Has a lot of his fathers traits in sitcoms.

I've seen both "I Pity the Fool" episodes. VERY touchy feely family stuff. He doesn't really run around being Mr. T mean to people. He actually reminds me of Matt Fouly(sp?). I wonder if he lives in a black van down by the river. I watch it because it's Mr. T, but, I doubt it's got much of a future.
