Club Dread is a movie by Jay Chandrasekhar and his comedy troupe (?) Broken Lizard.

It's a mild send-up of cheesy teen thrillers. The movie itself is OK at best. However, the movie did do one thing that I found astounding. It made Bill Paxton not annoying. Whoa. After A Simple Plan, Twister, and Titanic, I never wanted to see his face again.

4/10 overall
1 star - the movie itself
1 star - a few nice sets of boobies
2 stars - Bill Paxton not being so damned annoying.

Forever doomed to be described as not as good as Super Troopers.

I liked it.

It wasn't as good as Super Troopers, though.

Is that worth watching? Might add that to the queue... I guess if it's better than CD, it's at least good enough.

Well, it was better than Club Dread, anyway.

Bill Paxton was great in Frailty. Really great, underrated flick.

Stopped watching Club Dread a few minutes into it. Loved super troopers :p

Damn, I'd almost forgotten about that one. That was indeed a decent flick.

A Broken Lizard thing. I liked this movie alot. Saw it in the $5 bin at Wal-Mart and took a chance. There are alot of good/funny lines if you pay attention. I was laughing alot, but the wife wasn't. For being a funny movie, it had some pretty good tense/scary moments as well. It was kind of a mix between Friday the 13th (although I've never seen that movie. I'm just going on what I know about the movie) and . . . . a funny movie. So, there were many times where I was 'scared' but was smiling. It was wierd. The deleted scenes were lame though. Taken out of the flow of the movie, they were boring. Didn't watch them all cause they weren't entertaining. Would have liked to have seen more gag reel stuff. You see a few outtakes during the closing credits. The songs in the movie are funny too. Very good comedy/horror flick in my opinion.

I too picked it up in the $5 Walmart bin.

But I know there has to be a thread for this movie already...
