Shit. Just realized I posted this in the private forum. hehe Can't delete it though.
Gordon and Sam both fell to a PK tonight. Two different incidents. Gordon's was my fault though cause I left him behind.
Troy and I went back after him. First time, he targeted Troy and was doing much damage. We were doing a little more to him though and the PK had to run away. Troy healed up and we went back. PK showed up again, same thing happened. PK stayed around a bit longer this time. Did more damage to Troy. We did more damage to him. At one point, I thought Troy was gonna die. PK had him really low. However, in order to do that, the PK would have had to stay behind for one more shot. And that's all Troy and I needed to kill him. So once again, PK runs at last second. No kills were scored.
He had some mad damage guns blazing on Troy long with some movement inhibitors of some kind. My heavy missles weren't doing enough damage. Need to train up some more missle/targeting skills. Over all, not bad for a couple of newbs. He was obviously in a very well equiped frigate and had some skills.
Gordon and Sam will be avenged.
I'm actually inspired to revamp the TKV site and start some EVE logs. Troy will get a whole new perspective as far as the TKV site is concerned. heheh
Oh, and over all, the PVP was very rewarding. Ok, granted, I didn't die! But it was still rewarding to be able to go after him and try to take him out. AND know that if/when we did, it would actually hurt/cost him and I would be rewarded with more than just a 'rep' point.
PVP was nothing more than:
Right click, select target
Wait for target acuisition
Click on all weapons
Watch damage pile up on various ship
Keep in good weapon range
Watch bad guy warp out just before killing Troy/dying
Not the chasing click fest macro crunching PVP of UO. But, there was only one bad guy. . . So far, so good.
