PEST
It makes one wonder what's next.
I'm predicting violence.
I'm predicting violence.
“Every record been destroyed or falsified, books rewritten, pictures repainted, statues, street building renamed, every date altered. The process is continuing day by day. History stops. Nothing exists except endless present in which the Party is right.”
The group advocating, "You need to stop dividing the country" has talked a lot lately about succession.
I'd love to see them try.
Not only is "their" side outnumbered by 3 million, most of the military would be against their cause, too.
They can shed the patriot's blood that will refresh the tree of liberty, this time.
All the succession talk just makes it easier for another republican to win in '08.

"Be bold, and mighty forces will come to your aid."

That number isn't accurate.
The leftist nutjobs who are crying foul and talking of moving, etc. are vastly outnumbered and do NOT represent the feelings of even the majority of people who voted Kerry.
They're just the loudest.
A large number of the Kerry voters were union people and minorities who ALWAYS vote Democrat. A large number were women who almost always to vote Democrat. Many were people that were simply anti-war and had a delusion that Kerry would somehow change things in Iraq despite all of his plans being horseshit.
Also, keep in mind that the majority of young voters who voted for Kerry will be conservative in about 15 years. That change will occur when they stop listening to movie stars and rock stars for voting advice and instead begin to vote based on their real world experiences, of which they have zero right now.
I don't buy the hype about the country being divided. In fact, I am in a Democrat town and most of my family and friends are union, minorities, etc. (Kerry voters) and not one of them is depressed or things the world is going to end because Bush won.
Remember, the loonies always bark the loudest. That's why their voice is typically the one heard the most.
Don't make the mistake of believing their voice is the opinion of the silent majority.

Secession, darnit.GORDON wrote:The group advocating, "You need to stop dividing the country" has talked a lot lately about succession.
Which, oddly enough under a Google search, produces the same top results as "mad" does, with that iPod/computer/whatever "giveaway" crap.
I'm with Leisher on that whole loudest stuff. The moderates in both parties just don't make good news.
It's not me, it's someone else.
What a fucking joke.
Blah blah blah...

thinks the country is now run by fascists....
