Who would be up to go check out the Asteroids in 0.0 space next weekend.

According to my Map, the "Tribute" area above Lonetrek is pretty deserted, and I do not believe there is an Alliance who controls it.

I'll plan on training up to a ferox, and I know Catt said he was in with his as well. Cake?

Anyway, we can meet at a system close by to the Chokepoint into 0.0 and group. I'm thinking 3x Ferox's and a Moa or Caracal to tag along would be able to take care of any non-alliance PCs along the way.

If there is an Alliance who "owns" the region I'll look into getting us a pass, which should be as easy as Putting "Alliance X Friendly" on our profiles"

We can divide tasks, I.E two Ferox's with anti BC and BS stuff, and the rest with anti frigate and cruiser stuff.

I plan on trying out a Micro Warp Drive and Blasters for max dmg against the Battleships.

We can expect loot to be pretty good, with high bounties and a good possibility of some serious money items.

I'm game. Lets start working on a plan. I'll make the first rule though.

1. YOU MUST HAVE GAME VOICE!!!

I'd like to have everyone on the same page. Who's flying what? What's it packing? What's your job? Set up a few plans. What to do if out numbered? What to do if we out number? Who's in charge? Mass entry plan. Mass exit plan. Planned mem leak restarts. Planned potty breaks. Etc, etc. Maybe I'm making a bigger deal out of this than I need to. But, I don't like to die. :-)

Thoughts...

What day works best for everyone? Friday? Saturday?

The purpose of the Operation will be for killing High Level NPCS (1m Guristas Battleships, for example) at the Belts, but we will (hopefully) have the firepower to deal with other threats.

I would *LIKE* to have everyone in the group in at least Cruisers., and you do have a week, and I have a Blackbird, Caracal, fully outfited, that can be used.

If your going to be in a support role, Be sure to train a couple levels of Electronic Warfare, Not only will this help with the mobs, but we can outfit you to neutralize big targets in the unlikely event of a full scale Player Attack. (Jammers will be provided)

I'm thinking the TKV task force will begin in Oimmo, check your maps and figure out where it is.

From there we will head straight up, to Taisy.

Taisy is the last stop in Emipire space, and for most of you the last system before your first jump into 0.0 lawless.

We'll want to scout the last two gates, probably with a shuttle.

Our destination once in the 0.0 Tribute region will depend entirely on the average number of players in the systems, If there are a lot, we will look for less crowded hunting grounds. According to my map in the last few days, very few people venture into the area, but we'll still play it by ear.

*Complications*

Depending on turn out, A small gate camp, Just a Battleship for example, won't deter us, and will be Electronic Warfare bait.

Larger camps will have to be played by ear, and our success at clearing the gate evaluated.

* Suggested Ship Loadouts*

For a Ferox, Be sure to train some Gun skills during the week, you can use some of the 250mms from my armory. Same deal with Heavy Missile Launchers. With 4 low slots, you may want to consider doing the armor tanking thing, and using your Med slots for Capacitor recharges, boosters and electronic warfare.

One ferox will want to outfit for anti assault frigate, assault cruiser duty. Lots of Dual 150s, and some missles should do the job nicely.

Anti Frigate Caracal

5x Assault Missile Launchers(with plenty of each missle type)
Target painter
AB10
Large Shield Extender/Medium Booster
Resistance (whatever kind you can fit)
Ballistic Controls on Low
Webifier/Warp jammer
'nough said

Anti Battleship Blackbird

3x Heavy launcher 1x Gun of choice
2x Gravimetric Jammers
2x Multi Spec jammers
AB10
Shield Booster
2x PDUs

I will have a Ferox, trained up by then for gun skills/etc.

I've also picked up a moderate amount of $ by missioning this week, so if any needs $, just ask. It's better spent getting someone equiped than sitting in my wallet.

Friday and Saturday work best for me next weekend, especially the earlier we can start.

1. Sunday is my sleep-in day, so I can do a massive caffeine load and stay up really late on Saturday.

2. In 8 hours I'll have Frigates 4, and it is my understanding that I can then train the Cruisers skill. I assume that means I can then fly a Cruiser, as of today.

3. I currently have less than a million ISK, and can't afford a cruiser.

You have money now. With a cruiser, you should be able to do any level 2 mission solo. Using 2 level 2 agents at once, I've been making about 1.5mil per hour. With how much Spacelane loves our corp now, you should be able to get the 2 level 2 agents at Sankk 2.

Malcom, all you need to do is train the following skills this week:

Cruiser 2
Electronic Warfare 1+
Heavy Missles 1+

I'll provide everything else if you need it.

I'd look to see if that's possible, but their website is down like a crackho on her dealer.

It probably wouldn't hurt for everyone to post their skills (in a different thread) so that we know who can run the jammers, who can run their own hardeners, who can run the webbers/disruptors, etc. As of right now, I have NO electronic warfare skills. If Catt is driving a Ferox, how far will his gun skills be after getting to Ferox? Will he be able to load all the other support hardware effectively? I could hit ferox, but my gun skills are lacking right now. Again, so are my electronic warfare. So, I think we should post our skills, and based on those posts, we should assign jobs/ships and create a training path to make sure we have what we need to meet those jobs/ships. Along with making sure you have the skills to run the equip, make sure you have the skills to equip the equip. Meaning, someone with high engineering and electronics is going to be able to load more than someone with level 1/2 in those skills. So, make sure we include in the training path getting the skills to make sure everything fits.

A ferox can fit 5x heavy launchers to fill up the hardpoints, and still have 2 slots open for guns or Nos'.

I agree about the skills, people should start looking at that sort of thing this weekend.

What about bringing a battleship instead of a battlecruiser? I could train either one tomorrow. Then I'd have a week to train whatever skills would round it out.

Skills -> Send me your XML and I'll figure out a way to make it pretty. XML comes from the website.

Catt, to do Battleship you need Cruiser 4.

For me that takes 6 days, so if you have somehow managed to sneak that one up on us... wow.

Doh! Got my stuff confused. Although, with my percep/willpower, I could do it in...... just under 4 days from 10am tomorrow.

Geeze, XML is ugly. Is there an easy way to reformat that, or should I skip it and just type it all by hand?

EDIT:

Oh! Okay. Will do!

I'm pretty sure I can automate this better, but it'd take me a couple hours. Right now I'm just manually applying an XSLT file.

Ideally, you'd just upload a file, and the program would update the HTML. Actually, that should take less than an hour. Once I get started.......
