It will be announced the first week of March.

They think it'll be available the following week.

You probably wouldn't be able to get one anyway.

Apple will pull their typical stunt of releasing far too few of the devices to make it seem like there's more demand than products.

Ah, are they rationing work to their slave labor force, or will they have a secret warehouse full of them and only let them trickle out?

Based on what I hear about their releases it's either:
-They hold back supplies.
OR
-They start producing, announce, and release all too quickly. They know they won't have a ton to sell, and they want it that way.

I actually use my iPad a fair amount... but just for basic stuff... surfing, playing timewaster games, and watching TV as a 2nd screen.

But I see no reason to upgrade, unless it gets a keyboard, and a bigger screen, and runs Windows.

Our Samsung Galaxy works very well. Does everything from Facebook to GPS to keeping the kid amused on long car rides with movies and Angry Birds. Even doubles as a Kindle, but haven't DL'd anything yet.

And, I don't have to pretend to be a pretentious douche with an Apple product, accepting the "progressive" image while ignoring their slave labor issue. My Samsung Galxy says I just don't even give a shit about slave labor.

+5, no complaints.

I'm not so sure. Remember, there's not just the Android Market, but you can also hook into third-party ap markets like Amazon's Appstore for Android and MiKandi (nsfw) and others. Without third-party app vendor support for iOS, it makes it more likely that Android has/is/will be catching up.

EDIT: Oh, and I forgot to mention that mostly on my Android tablet I play MAME. Which I think was free and has the full set of MAME ROMs. Which is a hell of a lot of games. I don't think you can get that on iPad without jail-breaking it.
