Amazon's app of the day is Splashtop. A remote desktop app for Android. It got good reviews, but the negatives offered what seemed like better alternatives. I'd never really considered this for the phone. And I've always just used VNC for remote desktop support. Never considered others.

One of the suggested alternatives was TeamViewer. I gave that one a try and was VERY impressed by how easy it was to control my PC desktop. It was using my WiFi connection, and was very responsive and easy to use. It even switched between my two monitors very easily. It includes a meeting option where I'm sharing my desktop with viewers. Lots of white board, VOIP, etc options. I was pretty impressed.

VNC is cheap and good at what it does. Shares desktops. TeamViewer made it easy and look good. TeamViewer ain't cheap though. $750 for the lowest license option. You can use it for free, but it reminds you at the end that you are using the free version. PERFECT for family tech support, etc. But in a business setting, you come off looking douchey, I think, if you are using a noncommercial license. The middle license option was cool in that it includes a client manager that you can use for billing purposes. Tracks the time you spend on the call and you can even record the session.

I was surprised by how cool it was and want to start a PC support company just so I can use this stuff now!

What do you guys use, if anything?
