A friend of mine at work is looking for a laptop for his wife. Any comments? What does satellite mean?

I personally do not think the Celeron process is worth having. Add a few more dollars and get a low end Core 2 Duo and get way better performance.

Satellite is just the model. Toshiba, from everything I've ever heard, makes good laptops. I have never owned one though. But, I know people who have. No complaints from them.

Yeah, try to avoid Celeron if possible.

I have a Toshiba Satellite. I liked my Dell more. One of the two HDs on this already broke. But it's a decent PC.

It's only 17"... but it does have two hard drives, and dual-graphics cards... and a number keypad on the keyboard.

It's also a convenient 10lb barbell.
