Surfing on the DSi. Bought one tonight so the kid could have my old DS. It uses a version of Opera. Not bad so far. The DSi is pretty cool thus far. More tomorrow.

Physically...The screens are bigger and brighter, which is immediately apparent. The device remains the same size however. The power button has been moved from the side to right next to the touch screen. Volume has been moved from the bottom to the side and is no longer a slider. It no longer plays GBA games. The stylus seems to secure much tighter. It also has a slot for an SD Card.
The OS is much cleaner, more intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing. There are a ton of new options to personalize your DSi.
New features include:
-A camera and a photo editor.
-A sound recorder and software to edit sounds.
-A web browser
-Access to the Nintendo DSi store (think X-Box Live's store or the iPhone store).
-It'll play your MP3s.
Downloading games from the DSi store means you don't even need cartridges to play games. I've not tested any of them despite the free 1000 points I was given. Games have different costs, and I've guessing their depth is equal to their cost. The browser is free. Two games were at the 200 point level. Two games were at the 500 point level. One game, a Brain Age: Math game, was at the 800 point level.
So far, this is a pretty nice system. I'm curious to see what else comes to the DSi store, particularly in terms of other forms of media.
