Customer threatened to tell people about their shitty customer service.
ASUS requested the Chinese government throw her in jail for extortion.
The Chinese government did.

I think that means I'm no longer buying ASUS which I used to buy a lot of.

Though I guess this is sort of dumb:
Huang and her lawyer, Zhou Chengyu, demanded that ASUS to pay a compensation of five million US dollars, threatening to break the news to the media and take ASUS to court.
