Toshiba help me
Just found myself with a toshiba 2515cds laptop. Of course it shows no signs of life. Starting from 0. Is there a way just to see if the power supply is working. Or some other quick way to see if I should just kick it to the curb.

Most power supplies have a light on them to indicate if they are actually working.
Green = good
Amber/Red = bad
Beyond that, the laptop itself should have a light to indicate power is being received. A solid light means it is on, a blinking light means it's charging. (Generally)
If the laptop is plugged in and you still can't boot up, the problem will be the power supply, not the battery. You can probably find a replacement online.
The power supply can be tested with a voltmeter I imagine. If you don't have one, a local electronics repair store might be able to test it for you.
The battery you can try to charge up once you get a working power supply. If it doesn't charge, find a replacement online.
The real question is if the laptop is actually worth all this trouble.

There is no light on the power supply. There is a light on the laptop which does not come on. And you are correct on the real question. Is it worth it. I can't seem to get an answer from the previous owner.(Friend of my wifes who got it from someone else.) As far as I know someone could have dropped it in a bathtub. I'd take the power supply somewhere to get it checked or if you have a voltmeter, do it yourself. Gordo should have one...?
