Got this for Christmas. Wireless optical trackball w\ eight programmable buttons + scroll wheel. So far, it's performing admirably. We'll see what the battery life looks like later.

That's always been my beef with wireless. Especially the muse. Keyboards aren't so bad on batteries, but really... what's the point with a keyboard?

Well, what's the point with a trackball, then? It's not like you move it around like a mouse.

Me, I like everything to be wireless if I can. I go through a shitton of batteries, though.
