I'm sitting in a conference call Dell had put on to introduce their new Latitude line (laptops). The very first question asked: "How long will XP be offered?"

Dell's answer is new: "Through January 2008 and supported for 4 years after that."

That might be a sign that while Microsoft may not be acknowledging the failure that is Vista, their partners may be.

I bought my wife an Asus laptop a while ago. I tried to make it a MCE PC, but there was a small issue. So I decided to install Vista on it to see what would happen. Well, Asus, fuckers, haven't made a Vista driver for the video card, so there's no S-Video support... thus, no point in having a media center PC.

Dell, on the other hand, has Vista drivers for all their laptops of comparable age. (Same video cards)
It's not me, it's someone else.
