One of the most poorly written tech articles I've ever seen. This dude is clearly an Apple polisher.

Both Apple and Microsoft have been almost twin brothers at the beginning of the PC era.

It's not a battle, 'cept in Apple's ever-wishful eyes.

Oddly enough, that's not far from the picture that was in my mind when I read that sentence.

Well, it's obvious they have no editorial staff at that site since his article is full of grammatical mistakes and is clearly biased.

You've got to love the insanity of Mac people though as he claims Linux and Leopard will "beat" Vista. What the hell does that mean? On Vista's first day in the market, it'll out sell Linux for the next year or two. Apparently, in his mind sales numbers aren't necessary to "beat" your competitors in the business world. I assume he doesn't think those pesky profits mean much either.

As for the Mac, I remember reading about how they were actually losing customers, not gaining them. At least in terms of their computer side. On the iPod side, they're doing fine, but as has been pointed out elsewhere on this site, they're not only losing customers, but the iPod's own technology makes it a fad, not a product that will support a company for years to come.

OS/2 "beat" Windows 95 to market by years, was technically superior, etc, etc.

It lost. Just like Mac OS X, XI, XII, blah blah blah.

Sure, it may be prettier, and easier in some ways, blah, blah, blah. But it just doesn't matter. It still only has 5 games.
