I just got a presentation from Verizon Wireless trying to sell me Blackberrys, Treos, or Pocket PCs on Monday.

The salesperson denied that the Treo had any technical issues he had heard of when me and an engineer brought the issue up at different points in the meeting.

Liar.

Yes, I hate the Treos. Personally, my biggest problem with them is the PalmOS. I personally think that Windows' Pocket PC software is the best available.

I made the point to the salesman that if Microsoft wanted to they could make Palm software not work on MS OSs and Palm would be fucked.

Also, the latest Palm handhelds appear to be having overheating problems in their LCDs causing an orange stain to spread from pixel to pixel. They will replace it, but damnit, it's been going on for a while.
