What the hell is a shout cast server?
Is this something where you spend like $79 to 'say' your stupid thoughts instead of typing them?
No. It just streams music that you have in your Winamp playlist. Makes an Internet radio station of your music, not your talking.

I'll check it out, but I'm not sure how much ABBA and Gloria Gaynor I can stand.

There's a few free "mixing" programs that will encode on the fly to the feed to allow for a "DJ" to talk over the music if they want to. I've got a couple of friends that host shows pretty regularly and are actually very good at it. Then there are the other few thousand that should be shot.Although, Gordon could create mp3s of his voice, and put them into the playlist...

I like the idea of doing it, but nobody wants to listen to anything with less than 128kps quality, and that means 2 listeners would be using 256kps of my upstream bandwidth... 3 users 384kps, etc. I don't think I have enough upstream pipe to make this work. I'm just on a non-commercial cable modem.
