As long as there is no cream/sugar/calories, no. It does not count.
I drink Diet Dr Pepper and Green Tea before lunch. No sugar, probably a couple of calories in tea, but < 10.

So a quarter cup of milk, and fasting is blown?
Any such thing as a zero calorie creamer?

I would consider that blown. I don't do coffee.

A quarter cup probably blows it. Some people say a *little* creamer (like the little tiny pods) won't blow it.
I just switched to liking my coffee the way I like your mom.

9/21/2018 - 1 month in, down 15 lbs.
I've been considering cutting artificial sweeteners, we'll see.

Decided to go artificial sweetener free today, or at least cut back significantly. I can't find any solid science on the impact of a keto diet, just conjecture, though.
Replaced my morning Diet Dr Pepper with caffeinated green tea. Still had 1 at lunch with my salad.

This was the only change I made. I drink about 2 diet drinks/day the past week. Broke a 1 week stall, and down 2.4 lbs in the prior 5 days.

Down 20 lbs. Resting heart rate under 60 3 days in a row now, and blood pressure of 105 over 69 just now at doctor's office.

No longer obese. Finally. Last weekend's camping + drinking + eating trip set me back a week or so.

This month has been a waste for me. 2 camping trips, anniversary with the wife, business trip. But I'm basically where I started the month. 5 months to get to goal.

My new diet starts November 1. Diving the Georgia Aquarium on December 23, and need to look good. No real goal... just lose as much as possible in 53 days. Will probably do a DietBet just to make a few shekels while I'm at it.

Despite October being terrible for me, I've still managed to lose about 3.5 lbs.
Good luck.

Ok, so intermittent fasting.
Just zero calories for... what... 16 hours a day, and go crazy the other 8?

There's lots of ways to do it.
https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/in ... ting-guide
Some people do OMAD (one meal a day) 2-3 times a week, and eat 'normal' the other days.
I do lunch at 11:30am, snack at 3:30pm, dinner at 6:00pm. (+/- 30 minutes or so, depending on conflicts)
Lunch is a giant salad; snack is usually a keto friendly dessert, or nuts. Dinner is protein (steak) + veggies.

Ate between 2pm to 7pm yesterday. Did a 1:50 bike ride, ate a fair amount of carbs on it, but still down today.

November has not gone well. Aside from 1 day, I've been pretty on diet, but I've only lost about 1 pound.

Broke through a stall. Ramped up fasted training, tighter control of my carbs, and replaced a keto snack with a different one.
