Meh. Once I figured out this was set in an alternate reality, it became easier to watch. Until I figured that out, I was very confused by the events, the setting, etc. This made it hard to enjoy because I couldn't just watch the movie for what it was, I was spending too much time trying to figure out what the fuck it was talking about.
I think this movie was set how the far left actually view the country now. Extreme racism and fascism run rampant with guerilla groups protesting and saving the country.
Also, there's family drama, action, and stuff like that. It's not a bad movie once you figure out the setting. I questioned some of the plot choices, mostly revolving around Leo's character. But again, not too bad of a movie.
If you can get past the EXTREME political BS, you can enjoy the story. That being said, they don't harp on the political stuff, but at the same time, it's pretty blatant. Another way to put it is, take the most radically left person in your Facebook feed. The movie is set in their version of reality. Now, watch the movie, and you should be able to enjoy it.

One Battle After Another
Since the first trailer, I've had zero interest in seeing this movie. You pointing out it has a lot of politics inserted into it, does nothing to change that.
“Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping and damaging to the fabric of society as a whole.” - Dr Thomas Sowell
One Battle After Another
Has anyone else seen this. How the fuck is it a comedy? There was NOTHING funny in the entire movie. Hollywood is fucking insane. Broken broken people.
One Battle After Another
I still want to see it, so I'll do that some day. It does get a lot of press. A few people I know saw it and enjoyed it. But not like the reviews did
It's not me, it's someone else.
