AI and woke backlash hits Square Enix.
This is happening all over the gaming industry.
This one I'm highlighting for two reasons:
1. Lunar was one of SE's earliest games and a core memory for me.
2. The image below is getting a lot of play online. Her group "Limit Break" is getting exposed as utter bullshit. People who attended meetings are revealing that their was no training on how to make games, but rather a circle jerk about how virtuous they were. Note her one stat about 4% of the gaming industry workforce being trans. That's 14K in the U.S. alone (350K). 3K in the UK (75K). That's statistically impossible. Also, why list how many are men and women if gender is a social construct? What about the other 184 or whatever genders? Do they not matter anymore?
BTW, after doing a small dive, that image of her below...well...she's not an unattractive woman, but that picture is a bit misleading. On her IG there's video of her attending a friend's wedding, and them "partying hard". It screams performative and fake. It looks like B roll filmed for a low budget indy with bad actors. They seem like they're doing things they believe normal people do. No angles pick up anyone else in the background, so it looks like there's only 7 people at this wedding. All the shots are filmed really tight. Seek it out. It's fucking weird.
