My ride
So, I'm flying a Caracal and will soon be certified to fly a Ferox. Should I get one or stick with the Caracal?

I'll be shy of having the means, but I'll have the skills for a Ferox in about 2 hours or less as I'm finishing Starship Command 4 right now and only have Battleship 1 to go.
I figured that's the ship you guys use for PvP so I'd better get one. I just wasn't sure if I should get one to run missions or keep the caracal for that.
If the Ferox will be my ship of choice for a while, I'd like to get 2. One to keep where I run missions and one where you guys are located for PvP. That way I can just run back and forth via shuttle and not worry too much about dying.

You should be doing missions in your ferox where we are located. There are two level 2 agents and 1 level 3 agent. Right next door is a level 4. You are then a hop/skip/jump from the 0.0 space we play in. No reason for you to not be where we are.
Troy has been driving a Blackbird into combat last few runs. Blackbird is the Caracal's PvP sibling. So, ferox is not manditory for PvP. Ferox is perfect for level 3 missions as well. Caracal is possible for level 3's, but it's really much harder.
Keep in mind that insurance is a little over 7 million for the ferox. So, 32 million is actually the startup costs for the ferox. Lots of beginner equipment for it as well in the corp hangar where we are. Where are you, and why are you way over there?

1) You just need BC. Although, get as many levels as you can (at least level 3) in order to make your Ferox better.
2) Let me/Troy know how much you need. Be sure to insure the thing for platinum (costs 7mil)
3) Move to Oipo. Everyone should be in Oipo

I misread. I'm training Battlecruiser 1, just about done too.

Absolutely, just be careful. I do level 4 mission solo in my Ferox, so level 3 is not an issue.
Ferox mission config:
5xHeavy missiles (XR-3200s)
2x250mm Guns (compressed coil, whatever you can afford)
1xAfterburner (10mn)
2xShield Hardener (see below)
1xShield Booster
1xWhatever u want (webber, cap recharger, 3rd resist are what I use)
2xBCS
2xPDS
Drones - at least 3 scout drones.
Get Drones level 3 so you can carry drones for the little ships.
Shield hardeners to use:
Guristas - 2xKinetic (I may have said explosive accidentally in the other thread) (If you go 3, use 2xKinetic 1xThermal). Use Kinetic missiles (Scourge)
Angels - 1xMulti 1xExplosive; use Explosive missiles (Havoc)
Blood Raider - 1xEM 1xThermal; use EM missiles (Thunderbolts)
Minmatar - 2xmultil use Thermal missiles (Widowmaker(?))
Sansha's Nation - 1xEM 1xThermal; use EM missiles (Thunderbolts)
Drones - 2xmulti; use EM or Thermal missiles (Thunderbolts/Windomaker(?))
Always have a warp lined up
