I'd recommend getting advice from a bike shop. Sadly, I know little about bike seats, and have always just taken the stock ones. I do wear padded shorts for mountain biking, not sure if that would help. I saw online someone recommending a cut-out seat for hemorrhoids: https://selleanatomica.com/collections/x-series
Didn't cause me a lot of pain. Just bleeding when I went to wipe after doing my business. Figured that wouldn't be good as a regular thing as I wouldn't know what was from riding and what was from something that's a matter of concern.

I've seen a whale-tail looking seat on Amazon. Super wide.
I'm surprised how well my legs are recovering. Tells me 90% of my problems yesterday was the hard pain of the seat. I told my gfriend that I might as well do the last 5 miles with the seat off and the post directly up my ass, because it couldn't possibly hurt more.

"Hmmm" as in I will take that new information and figure out how to best incorporate it.
Thing is, I'm still hiking and kayaking and swimming and diving. I can't really focus on the bike and harden my ass to it. So I will probably will try the padded shorts, and try an easy 20 miler next time.

With padded shorts and more moderate mileage you should be fine.
I would go for the ones that look like normal shorts. The spandex is for road cyclists. I've never heard of "cycling underwear" before, so that is new to me. I guess you could get that, and wear it under normal shorts.
I can't say which is good, and it's going to be what's good to you, and individual like that.
I would get a couple of pairs and just see what you like best.
My bike trainer broke. Sent it back today. Good news is that upon seeing the thing scan-in at FedEx, they processed the order for a free replacement, so hopefully it'll be here next week.
